In France, 6 million people suffer from chronic kidney disease (CKD), which affects 10% of the general population and exposes them to excess morbidity and mortality.

An often late diagnosis
The World Health Organization predicts an increase in the prevalence of chronic kidney disease of 17% over the next ten years. Each year, due to late diagnosis, millions of people die prematurely from chronic kidney failure and its associated cardiovascular complications.

Recent therapeutic advances
Over the past three years, CRD treatment efforts have focused on the preparation and implementation of renal replacement therapies. Recent therapeutic advances offer new opportunities to prevent or delay the disease and alleviate complications such as cardiovascular disease and kidney failure, thereby extending the quality of life of people with CKD.

Free screening operations
On the occasion of World Kidney Day, free screening operations will take place throughout the country in partnership with the Kidney Foundation, which is thus participating in an extraordinary international solidarity effort for the prevention and treatment of kidney diseases.
